What an awesome Easter Sunday service we had last week, it was great to see new folks join us. We are here every Sunday at 11AM, no frills, no programs, just Gods Word and Good Fellowship. Join us May 4th, we will discuss forgiveness and why it is so powerful for Christians to understand why it is so vital in our walk with Christ. Read Matthew 18:21-35. Blessings for a good week to all!

I had an encounter with a man on the way to the grocery store who was seeking help from others. I handed him some cash and we had a conversation. It was bitterly cold that day, and he shared that he was living out of his car. “It’s a tough world, huh?” I asked. His response? “I’m blessed.” In that moment, I was reminded that when Jesus tells us to pray, “Give us this day our daily bread,” we are expressing our trust that God will meet all our needs. Life can take us to various places—some good, some challenging—but amidst the changes, God remains steadfast and provides. My hope is that we cultivate a heart of gratitude, focusing on what we have rather than what we lack. Join me in this prayer, In Jesus’ Name, God bless!

We have noticed an uptick in folks joining us on our livestream. As much as we’d like to have people join us in church, wee greatly appreciate your participation on line. Technology isn’t all bad, if it is used for the right purposes, thank you for using it in the name of Jesus Christ. Join us tomorrow and we will be studying and discussing the Trinity. 2 Corinthians 13:14. Peace to you, to your communities, to this great country and God’s great earth, may we all find unity and follow Christ’s directive to love neighbor and worship God with all our hearts and souls. Be blessed!

Never underestimate the power of our Triune God. I cannot begin to tell you how close we were to closing down Mt. Hermon. Yet, we had a trust in God and (as always) he delivered. We tried a GoFundMe, and thank you to the few that helped, we mostly received nasty messages and to those who doubted or questioned our sincereity, we offered prayers for you and hope that you will find peace in your hearts through Christ. No, our help came from connections that God drove a few of us through, connections that were not undertaken for any benefit but for fellowship, and that is the power of our Lord. The person who helped us wished to remain confidential, but I pray that they know how much it meant to us and we will forever keep you in our prayers.

We hope everyone is having a great summer! We hope you can join us at Mt. Hermon in the coming weeks and visit us in the Fall. Starting in September we will begin a series (every first and third Sunday) focused on Christ. Understanding where he grew up, what was going on in the time He walked our earth and why it is so vital to stay focused on His truth. We are here every Sunday @ 11AM, and hope you may join our family, and take time to give this time to the Lord, in His house. (1 John 2:15) God bless and stay cool!

Remembering those that have sacrificed for our freedom this Memorial Day Weekend. Enjoy your time off, barbecue, travel, however you may celebrate, but please take a moment to gratefully thank our God for the Veterans, throughout our history, who have given all.(Psalm 115:16), in Jesus name.

Hello,

Good afternoon Susan.
Mount Hermon would be honored to accept your husband’s piano. It would be well taken of, and would be played in our future services.

Wishing all a joyful Easter! The question comes down to us, do we accept Jesus Christ, do we have faith in the Cross, do we believe in the Resurrection? If you do, there is no need for anxiety. You ask if you are worthy, and Christ has answered that for you. Because of His sacrifice, you are worthy, you are forgiven, you need only to trust and have faith. May this Easter bring you joy in the truth of the Lord!

Mount Hermon’s First Mission Dinner was truly a huge success! Thanks to the dedicated members of our church and the Holy Spirit within each of us, which brought us together and united us in a good and loving cause.
It was a great time and a memorable moment truly, blessed by our Lord!
Looking forward to the next event, coming soon..

Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd I lack nothing!
We are all so blessed folks! We just need to accept what Jesus offers us and allow Him to enter and change us! Have you accepted Jesus friend request yet?!

Leonard Sweet wrote that: “We make the Light of the World, not culture, not politics, our reference point. Our time should be spent figuring out our relationship to Jesus, and what He is doing in the world. Why? So we can join Him in what He’s already doing.”
Join us at Mt. Hermon and let’s focus on Christ and not all the noise of this world, Christ equips us to walk among the noise in peace, focused on love of God and neighbor. In the end, this is all that matters. Be blessed!

Looking forward to it!!

Another year is almost over for Mt. Hermon and God has blessed us mightily this year. I’m unsure if we could use more people joining our church, but one thing I am sure of is that God has the right people at the right time at our Church. I am blessed to shepherd a wonderful group both here and Prospect UMC. May the Lord continue to bless our churches for another year as we grow in Christ!!

Join us this Sunday, either in person or on line, as we begin the Advent Season, a season of waiting. Waiting is a part of life, but truth is, we have been waiting since Christ has ascended, while we wait we also seek, seek Jesus, because He is all around us, and we seek Him to emulate Him, to know Him through His Word and to treat each other with love as He instructed, we fall short, but in our waiting, it is never too late to seek Him, repent (change course), and celebrate a God who is forever pursuing us and giving us all we need. Join us as we begin the waiting of when God gave us our greatest gift…Jesus Christ, in His Holy Name.

At Mt Hermon, we don’t care how you dress, the money you have (or don’t have) or the politics you follow. We only care that you join the journey to follow the path of Christ (and it is not an easy road, but well worth it). In a world short on authenticity, Jesus is the only truth. May you find it in Him, because He is in you. We hope to see you someday, I leave you with the words of Tim Keller: “ Christians are people who let the reality of Jesus change everything about who they are, how they see, and how they live.”

In his great book ‘The Reason for God’ Tim Keller wrote this: “ Christians are people who let the reality of Jesus change everything about who they are, how they see, and how they live.” At Mt. Hermon, we don’t care how you dress, where you work, or how much money you have or don’t have. We only care that you come to worship, honor and stay on a journey to walk with Christ. True Christian’s are authentic in their love of Jesus, loving him with all our heart and loving our neighbors, no matter what you’ve done or how you may have struggled, because truth is…we all have. Hope to see you someday, in Jesus name.
